The first of many new concrete mixers rolled out of our New Ulm SpecSys Manufacturing location on Wednesday. President Tallen Wald confirms we have orders for them well into next year. “We bought out the product line from Schwing and went into production,” Wald said. “It’s nice to get our manufacturing program rolling. We plan to take two trucks to September truck shows across the U.S. and Canada. We plan to build one truck a day by early next year.” The first truck is diesel-powered on a Peterbilt chassis. “We will build custom-configured trucks for customers. We can put them on Peterbilts, Freightliners and Macks,” said, Wald. “We’ve got 50 full-time employees in New Ulm now. We’re looking at doubling that soon.”

Factors that set the Schwing Legacy concrete truck mixer apart are:

  • A precision mix function that monitors load progress and automatically adjusts rpm.
  • An optional inclinometer works with drum angle sensors to optimize drum speed.
  • Load function senses a new batch, keeping the truck and drum rpm running independently, lowering overall rpm.
