SpecSys, Inc. was responsible for complete vehicle design, including frame, cab, power unit, pneumatic system, and integration of control system and powered electric bogies.

This effort was completed using Solid Works CAD software, Ansys Finite Element Analysis software, and tested using our Dewesoft Data Acquisition System.

Prototype Manufacturing

Fabrication, machining, weld, paint, and assembly departments completed all aspects of the build, readying the unit for on track testing of propel, braking, communications, and OEM application approvals of major components.

SpecSys, Inc. completed the prototype build and test in it’s Granite Falls facility.

Production Manufacturing

SpecSys has been awarded the build of 8 power cars since the initial design was completed
